Moving toward a healthier lifestyle is all about replacing old habits with new, healthy habits. Focusing on too many changes at one time is likely to lead to failure," says Heather Mangieri, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN, the owner and nutrition consultant for Nutrition CheckUp, LLC. Starting small is that best way to go when trying to become healthy. By starting with big goals you will just scare yourself from wanting to do it. Small goals add up over time and you eventually see the change that you have made by following what you want to do.
It is know that if you work on a small goal for roughly a month you will see change. You will start looking better physically and feeling better mentally. So take small steps and keep taking them because as soon as you stop you will be allowing for the bad habits to come about again.
Here are some tips to helping you achieve your goal of becoming healthy: change how much you eat, water should be your drink of choice at all times, leave the candy bars alone and substitute it for a carrot or something healthy, and eat at appropriate times -- not at night when you are about to go to sleep and your body cannot digest it.
